Give Today

Every gift, large or small, keeps the work going. Each order we place with DreamStitch means more hours of paid work for the women, and more handmade goods to give to neighbors in need here at home.

A monthly gift helps most, because it lets us plan steady orders, and steady orders mean steady work.

Meaningful work, the hope of the Gospel, and a safe place to begin again

The Crimson Cord Project is partnered with Dreamstitch.net, a team whose purpose is to serve women leaving the red-light districts and associated work. Our mission is to reach these women with the gospel and offer them meaningful work that provides a good wage.

Everything we do starts with Jesus. Each woman in our program is welcomed into a community of praise and worship, a hope of the Gospel, and mentors walking alongside them.

Physical needs met to rebuild a life with dignity.

Who Leads the Work

Our work on the ground is led by a couple who came to faith after God miraculously healed their infant daughter. Both had already spent years with organizations helping women leave the red-light districts, and today they bring that experience, and their love for Christ, to every woman Crimson Cord serves.

Where your money goes

Crimson Cord Project is a U.S. charity. DreamStitch (DreamStitch.net) is a small business in Southeast Asia, built to give women leaving the red-light districts and associated work a safe place to learn a skill and earn a steady wage.

How it works

You give to Crimson Cord Project.

We use your gift to buy handmade goods from DreamStitch.

Making those goods gives the women real work and a fair wage.

The goods come to the United States, and we give them away free to people in need here at home.

Why we do it this way

We want everything we do to be above board and fully legal, both here and overseas. Buying goods from DreamStitch, rather than sending cash gifts to a business, keeps us within the laws of both countries and keeps every dollar accountable.

Our promise to you

Your donation buys handmade goods from DreamStitch, which we give away to those in need.

We don't sell the goods, and we don't pay anyone on the U.S. side a salary. Every order and every giveaway is recorded in our books.

Stories of Hope

Meet Asha

Asha grew up in a red-light district, raised by a mother who struggled with alcohol and often left her children hungry and afraid. Rescued as a young girl and placed in a shelter, she was able to go to school, but every holiday at home brought back the same neglect.

Looking for love, she married young. The abuse began soon after. While pregnant, she was sent away by her husband's family, and after her son was born, they refused to take her back. With nowhere to go, Asha slept on the streets with her baby and, in desperation, gave him into someone else's care, hoping he would have a better life.

To survive, she was pulled into the same work her mother had done. But Asha never stopped fighting for her son. After two years she brought him home, enrolled him in school, and took any honest job she could find.

Asha has since joined our sewing program. She is learning a skill, earning a steady wage, and walking away from her past one day at a time. She often stays long after her shift ends, stitching and talking with her mentor, because it is where she has found comfort and healing.
